Getting Here

Whistler is 1 hour 45 min drive from downtown Vancouver, and 2 hours 15 from Vancouver International Airport, YVR.

If you’re flying into YVR, why not skip the hassle of car hire and take the Whistler Connection for a smooth ride straight to Whistler? Once you’re in Whistler village most things are just a walk away.

The drive from Vancouver up to Whistler on Highway 99, also known as the Sea to Sky Hwy, is widely regarded as one of most scenic drives in the world, and is an absolute pleasure to drive. The winding road takes you past stunning views of the fjords of Howe Sound, through sheer rock faces, past lakes, glaciers and up into the alpine forests of Whistler.

Make sure you stop at one of the many viewpoints along the way.

What is there for family and friends in Whistler?

Come for the race, stay for the weekend…

I think it would be quicker to answer with what you can’t do in Whistler:)

Whistler is renowned as a premier ski resort, but it’s gaining popularity as a summer destination as well. Many say people come for the winter, but end up staying for the summer.

For the thrill seekers we have zip trek ecotours with the longest zipline in Canada and the US! Or bungee jumping 160ft (50 meters) over the glacial fed Cheakamus River.

I can’t think of a better way to recover on a Sunday morning than by indulging in a thermal journey at Scandinave Spa. Afterward, a leisurely stroll through Whistler Village, with a stop at Moguls Coffee House for a refreshing drink, is the perfect finish to the weekend.
