For 2023 we continue to have two options after the success of our first 50k in 2022. The classic 25k course and for those yearning for that bit more of an adventure we have a 50k option.
The 25k is arguably one of the most beautiful point-to-point races in British Columbia. The course is mostly one very long trail, the iconic Comfortably Numb. It’s an internationally recognized cross country mountain bike route, that is way more fun to run than ride! There’s rocks, roots, climbs, descents, wooden bridges, a beautiful creek crossing, numerous mountain vistas, and almost 100% singletrack goodness.
The race starts in Wedge, and immediately enters Comfortably Numb. At the end of CN trail after completing the Foreplay descent you do your last climb up into Lost Lake on blue singletrack trails and towards Spruce Grove Park and the finish line.
941M Climb | 912M Descent
The 50k starts at the same place but first heads in the opposite direction, north along the stunning Sea2Sky trail towards Pemberton. It’s an out and back for the first half of the race but you will find that both directions feel completely different. It’s a non-tech section of the race that could easily be overcooked:) It’s in stark contrast to the Comfortably Numb trail in the second half of the race.
Once you’re done with the Sea2Sky trail you get to experience the Comfortably Numb Trail in all its glory, and follow the same route as the 25k race as above.
1683M Climb | 1657M Descent
